Today’s Thanks Much card sketch is designed for i Love Card Sketches.
I love the way the Six-Sided Sampler stamp set, the Honeycomb embossing folder and the Hexagon punch all coordinate. Combined with the card sketch, they make it easy to create an eye-catching card. The long, skinny card base will also make a nice gift card and just the right size to include cash or a check.
First the Soft Sky card base is embossed with the Honeycomb folder. The flower image from Six-Sided Sampler is stamped onto Sahara Sand with Elegant Eggplant ink. This layer is punched out and then trimmed close to the image with Paper Snips. The mat is punched from Wisteria Wonder with the Hexagon punch and the flowers are also punched from Wisteria Wonder using the Petite Petals punch.
The central image is another stamp from Six-Sided Sampler and again stamped in Elegant Eggplant ink. The sentiment is stamped onto Sahara Sand card stock, punched out with the Hexagon punch and the trimmed horizontally close to the words.
A few rhinestones are added for the mandatory bling. Before adding the hexagons, a strip of Wisteria Wonder seam binding is glued across the middle of the card front. The end of the ribbon is tucked under itself rather than wrapped to the inside.
