Sending Many Thanks uses the cute Sweet Li’l Things Designer Series Paper. The paper is not just for baby cards. There are several charming images that can be used on a variety of cards. What is not to like about all these li’l turtles bringing the message?
The card is created for a card sketch challenge for a tall and skinny card. The dimensions of the finished card front are 3 1/2″ X 5 1/2″. This same sketch could easily be converted to a standard 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ card front.
You may be wondering about the darker strip across the bottom. I wanted to accent the line by darkening the Tip Top Taupe card stock with Tip Top Taupe ink. It turned out much darker than I anticipated, but I like it.
The card is simply layered shapes. No fancy cuts and relatively few supplies. I could have stopped there, but the Zig Zag embossing folder on the background adds a little depth and it is hard for me to not use my embossing folders on at least one layer on a card.
