Today’s card is created for a card sketch challenge. I love the Sea Street stamp set because it is so cute and easily adaptable for all age groups. I started out wanting to use the Maritime Designer Series Paper and it coordinates very well with the Sea Street stamp set. However, after finishing I thought it looked too cluttered. The sentiment gets lost in the background.
When faced with this dilemma what do you do? Do you rip this one apart and use the elements again or do you start over?
I decided to do both. I peeled off the elements I had created for this card and tried again with a different background. Much less cluttered and I didn’t waste all that effort of inking, cutting, etc. I added a couple of Figure 8 knots to the ends of the Baker’s Twine because it didn’t have any layer to tuck the ends under.
Now I didn’t want to waste the card base and the Maritime Designer Series Paper from the original card, so I re-designed that one part also. Again, I used the same basic card sketch.
The Coastal Cabana card stock on this last card looks too blue. I’m sure that is due to the photographer and lighting issues.
So what do you think? Which card would you vote for? Please leave a comment and vote for your choice.
