Today I used the Mixed Bunch stamp set to show you a simple technique (Emboss Resist) using a brayer. The flowers will “pop” off the paper. I also used a little trick to shadow the flower and give it a little more depth.

My little trick: Use the Blossom Punch to punch out two flowers from the Wisteria Wonder cardstock and then layer it onto the Elegant Eggplant cardstock.
To Emboss Resist just stamp your image with Whisper White craft ink onto Whisper White cardstock. Add clear embossing powder. Heat set the embossing powder and let it cool. Now the fun part: Roll the brayer over the Elegant Eggplant Classic ink pad several times to coat the brayer. Roll the brayer over your stamped image several times. You may have to re-ink the brayer a couple of times until you get the color you want. Use a tissue to wipe off the excess ink over the white image. Punch out the flower and add the stamped center and rhinestone.
After you have created your flowers, layer them slightly off center so the Elegant Eggplant layer shows as a shadow.
I will have an article in the next issue of Paper Crafts Obsession newsletter about different ways to use the brayer. Use the sign up box on the right to SIGN UP NOW to receive the free Paper Crafts Obsession newsletter.
