For today’s card sketch on i Love Card Sketches, I created a fun and colorful Happy Birthday Card.
Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) is a real treasure. You get double-sided 12″ X 12″ sheets that are perfectly coordinated with Stampinn’ Up! card stock and ink and ribbons. Here I have a piece of DSP from Birthday Bash Specialty DSP collection. The colors incorporated in the paper are background of Whisper White, Mossy Meadows, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, and Bermuda Bay.
The card base is Whisper White with a top layer of Bermuda Bay and the bottom layer of the DSP.
The butterflies are stamped with Calypso Coral ink using the larger butterfly stamp. The Bitty Butterfly punch is used to cut out the center of the stamped image.
The first Whisper White circle is punched using the 1 3/8″ circle punch. The second layer is the 1 1/4″ circle punch from Crushed Curry card stock. I punched one layer of butterfly out of Bermuda Bay card stock and attached the top layer of butterflies with a folded up glue dot just in the middle.
Note the rhinestones are colored Calypso Coral. I used the dark Calypso Coral Blendabilities alcohol marker. This doesn’t wipe off.
Stamp the greeting with Bermuda Bay in onto Whisper White card stock. Use the Paper Snips to cut around the greeting freehand.
Last, use glue dots to attach the Calypso Coral Pompom Trim across the middle.
